My recipe for veg burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) of black beans (or any beans of your choice), drained and mashed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup corn kernels (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and any toppings you prefer (cheese, pickles, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Patty Mix: In a bowl, combine the mashed beans, breadcrumbs, grated carrot, chopped onion, corn (if using), garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  2. Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy.
  4. Assemble the Burger: Toast the burger buns lightly. Place a patty on the bottom half of each bun, and top with lettuce, tomato, and any additional toppings you like.
  5. Serve: Close the buns and serve your veggie burger with a side of fries or salad.
